Orlando World Center Marriott

Wow! What an incredible long weekend we had. We spent the last 4 days at DIsney World just under 2 hours from where we’re living, but I’ll save all of that for a different day.

We’ve visited Orlando multiple times, but this time we decided to stay at a different place that has been on our list for a while: Orlando World Center Marriott. It’s the largest Marriott in the world. It hosts many big names, but also very normal folks like ourselves. The pool is what really sold us on this resort. We try to watch our dollars on all of these mini trips, so we can go more, do more, and see more, so we opted for a standard room. When we checked in, they upgraded us (due to our Marriott status since we live in one) to a pool view with a balcony.

Come on. Who wouldn’t want a view like this?! We couldn’t wait to get in the pool, so we came back early from Disney, threw on our matching swimming suits by Raisin Swimwear (purchase mine by clicking raisin swimwear <- or click HERE to purchase the girls), ate a late dinner on the patio, and enjoyed the pool.

It was just what we needed after being zapped by the Orlando sun. The pool sported waterfalls, huge tv screens, a volleyball net, and the perfect ledge for the girls to sit on or jump off of. Next to the pool, there was also an awesome area with yard games perfect for some laid back hangs whether you go only with adults or with kids in tow. The surroundings were all perfectly manicured, and made for the perfect setting to watch the laser light show put on by the hotel in the evening.

The next morning, we rushed out of our room by 9 to grab breakfast from the pantry downstairs and get a great seat by the pool. They have many options including a Starbucks on the main level, but we decided on huge cinnamon rolls instead (because we were on vacation, of course). Presley was dying to go on the big slide, but she was just shy of the height requirement. Instead, we went to the kid pool area where the Presley and Sailor went down the smaller slide 50 times and ran throught the water sprayers like there was no tomorrow!

Anthony and I….. well, we enjoyed our breakfast poolside while watching our girls live it up.

We only had a few hours before we wanted to head to Disney World, so after an hour or so we ditched the kiddie pool for the main one. I mostly lounged by the pool in their comfy pool chairs while Anthony swam with the girls. The hotel had a restaurant or two by the pool with waitresses coming by and taking orders.

I would definitely recommend this hotel for a weekend or even a whole week. There’s plenty to do, lots to eat, and has such a relaxing atmosphere. We also checked out their giftshop which had tons of cute suits, clothes, gifts, and items you may have forgot for your trip. We even grabbed a late night dinner one night at the pantry. I was surprised by how good and reasonable the food was. There were also restaurants where you could splurge, if you were looking to go that route.

We hope to stay here again someday and just focus on the resort without anywhere to be, but we fully enjoyed what time we did have here. Thanks for following along on our adventures.
